1.2 million euros for social initiatives

The Oranje Fonds and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) are jointly giving an impulse to strengthen and sustain voluntary efforts in social initiatives. Financial support & knowledge

The support consists of two parts. Social initiatives can apply for financial support from the Oranje Fonds. For example, for volunteer policy, training and professional development of volunteers, expanding or diversifying a volunteer base, or hiring a volunteer coordinator. In addition, the Oranje Fonds provides knowledge about voluntary engagement through a free and accessible module on the platform.knowledge platform ‘Questions that matter’from the Oranje Fonds.

What kind of requests?

• Developing volunteer policy;
• Attractive communication and organization, increasing diversity within the volunteer base;
• Financial space for a volunteer coordinator;
• Training of volunteers to perform their tasks well and with pleasure (with a focus on vitality and retention of volunteers);
• Setting up or expanding (digital) infrastructure for the recruitment and support of volunteers at both the managerial and operational levels and everything in between;
• Other needs related to strengthening and sustaining volunteer work (e.g. collaborations between different organizations).

Registration process, guidelines & terms

Social initiatives wishing to apply can submit a regular application to the Oranje Fonds.
