Business Involved: what we do

Business Involved is the initiative in Amsterdam that connects companies and their employees to social initiatives.

We help businesses and organizations find the right connections with each other to make their social engagement (CSR) concrete, feasible, and valuable: for everyone and for the city of Amsterdam.

We do this not with isolated activities, but by building on sustainable collaborations with long-lasting results. Collaborations that align with the ambitions and capabilities of a company, and the needs and growth ambitions of social organizations.

Whether it’s about sharing knowledge, providing space, donating, or long-term engagement of volunteers: Business Involved helps your company or social organization at every step.

1. The right match as a foundation

We believe that every collaboration starts with a strong foundation. We ensure a suitable proposal based on:

• The vision, mission, and strategy of a company
• The SDGs that your company wants to advocate for
• The wishes and preferences of the employees
• The mix of possibilities that your company has to offer
• The needs, growth ambitions, and opportunities of social organizations

With access to a network of over 100 organizations in Amsterdam, we know where the opportunities lie. This creates a collaboration that makes sense: both substantively and practically.

2. From first activity to lasting collaboration

We are launching the collaboration with a kick-start activity: this gives immediate energy, activates employees, and makes a difference for the organization.

But it doesn’t stop there. Together we will continue to build on a sustainable collaboration, with a clear Roadmap and concrete plan.

We always strive for a sustainable approach with multiple applications, including a mix of product donations, financial support, deployment of expertise (pro bono), joint projects or product development, and opening up networks.

This way, a collaboration evolves into a long-term relationship where both parties truly strengthen each other.

How we work:

Business Involved guides with passion the strategic and operational process: from the initial idea to the kick-off of the long-term collaboration. We strive for customization and quality over quantity.

We work with an advisor for social organizations and an advisor for companies, who collaborate closely. This way, we understand both perspectives and can switch quickly. We identify opportunities and possibilities for both parties and are only satisfied when sustainable impact can be made together.

• For social organizations we act as Partnership Managers. We identify opportunities, make connections, and ensure strong collaborations, so that the organizations are strengthened and can continuously focus on their daily work.
• For companies we are an extension of the CSR or ESG team. We advise, guide, and help to make social engagement a structural part of the organization.

We build together a clear plan and ensure that collaborations continue to grow actively.
