The Job Market works!

At an event where visitors are assisted in finding work in Amsterdam, the Volunteer Center Amsterdam (VCA) is always happy to participate. The Foundation ‘Learning Helps!’ in collaboration with ‘Toptaal’ organized a job market on Thursday, May 23 at Garage Notweg in Nieuw West. It wasn’t just about paid work; assistance was also provided in the areas of volunteering or internships, so we were there! There were workshops, an information market, the opportunity to have a profile photo taken, and visitors had the chance to connect with employers.

Everyone was welcome, but the event was particularly aimed at non-Dutch-speaking Amsterdammers looking for a place to participate in Amsterdam society. It was a great opportunity for the VCA to promote volunteering. A date was scheduled afterwards with some visitors for.a mediation appointment during the VCA consultation. The candidate and an experienced mediator will individually explore possibilities and preferences in the field of volunteering. Subsequently, the candidate will be actively mediated by the Volunteer Center Amsterdam.

It turned out to be a good opportunity to establish new contacts with organizations and strengthen existing ones. The attached collage provides a nice overview of the event:
