Well-functioning volunteer organizations are the social capital of the city. They keep Amsterdam, its residents, and the volunteers healthy and resilient. That is the starting point, but is it still true? Are volunteers and their organizations becoming overwhelmed?

Amsterdam is becoming increasingly international. The numberinternationalsThe number of expats is increasing every year. In 2018, the count was nearly 100,000 people, 11 percent of the total population of Amsterdam.
These people are very motivated to do volunteer work. VCA sees them daily at the consultation hour, and our mediators are increasingly looking for English-speaking vacancies to meet the growing demand. Because most of them speak English and little or no Dutch.No content to translate.

We invite you to the brainstorm session ‘Expats as volunteers at your organization?!’ Here we will provide you with inspiring examples and tell you what this group has to offer. We challenge you to explore opportunities together. Where there is benefit for your organization and for theinternational. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 1st from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, via Zoom. We will send you a link to join at least one day in advance.
