Earlier this year, we sent a survey to the volunteers who used our services in 2019 and asked for their opinion. Here are the main outcomes summarized.

How is Volunteer Center Amsterdam (VCA) found?

– 83.5% came to VCA on their own initiative; most people know us through the internet (59%) or through friends/acquaintances (14.5%), through an advertisement or social media (6.5%), or a market or information session (3.5%).
– 12.1% were referred by the municipality, a reintegration agency, the UWV, or another institution.

What is it used for?

46% is currently active as a volunteer through us.
The welfare sector is the most popular (33.3%), followed by healthcare (29.6%), arts and culture (25.9%), education (20.2%), charities (9.8%), events (7.7%), and nature and environment (6.7%).

84.6% find this very satisfying or satisfying. 1% is currently not satisfied.
