Volunteering always seemed a bit dusty, boring, and dull to Eva (29). But in the past few months, she has done 1001 different tasks, and now she thinks: Why didn’t I make time for this earlier? “I even do volunteer work on vacation nowadays!”

Peter is picking up litter in Westerpark, collecting all kinds of cups, bottles, and packaging. “This has become an important activity where I like to involve as many people as possible.”
One morning a week, Tim rolls up his sleeves here: preparing food for the animals, feeding them, taking care of them, and cleaning the cages.
Karlijn volunteers for the Red Cross one day a week. “I receive a lot of appreciation and it’s nice to see all those happy faces after an information session.”
Ilse: “Sometimes people are very sad and they go out the door with a smile.”
