“After working as an architect in the Middle East for a few years, I decided to quit my job and travel around Europe with my partner. We fell in love with Amsterdam and decided to move here. It was scary for a while, though. How could I be part of the local community? I decided to volunteer with children: You do something good and a smile comes on someone’s face, I find that super fun.”

On February 14th, love was in the air at Jungle Amsterdam, a sustainability center in the East district, where we organized the first Valentine’s Volunteer Café. Over forty visitors and nine social organizations came together to meet each other.
