The blind and visually impaired members of sports club Cormeta take a refreshing dive in the De Meerkamp swimming pool in Amstelveen every Saturday morning. They are supported by voluntary swimming guides. The joy is contagious!
Leila founded the Mother Network Foundation to support parents of children with disabilities: “We connect and build bridges.” What once started as volunteer work is now Leila’s full-time job. “By starting with volunteer work, I discovered a new side of myself and was able to walk my own path.”

Since December 1, 2023, all volunteer organizations in the Netherlands can participate in the National Volunteer Awards 2024 by submitting a vlog. The registration period runs until February 29, 2024.
