Volunteers Light Up the City

We do it together. Will you help?

Volunteers carry the city and make it more beautiful, liveable and brighter with their efforts. They help a neighbour with groceries, work behind the bar at a sports club, keep culture alive or contribute to green spaces. If we gave every volunteer in the city a light, the city would be beautifully illuminated!

With ‘Volunteers Light Up the City’ we want to show how special and important the work is that volunteers do, both for their surroundings and for themselves. We hope to inspire all people of Amsterdam to also become a volunteer.
