The neighborhood discovered!

On Wednesday afternoon, November 15, residents of Osdorp and De Aker had the opportunity to get to know their neighborhood (even better). Volunteers Central Amsterdam (VCA) and Stichting Eigenwijks organized an event where you could experience various fun activities from the neighborhood and be inspired by the possibilities.

Residents from Osdorp/De Aker and surrounding areas enjoyed a variety of workshops given by volunteer organizations and initiatives from the neighborhood on this afternoon. From young to old, everyone participated. There was a lot to experience: A visit to the Molen van Sloten, crocheting and knitting with Annemieke, Chess at Hart van Osdorp, playing games at the Ark game session, spinning the Wheel of Fortune at Buurthulp Nieuw West, storytelling by Eigenwijks, discovering talents at Volunteers Central Amsterdam, peeling apples with Stadsboerderij Osdorp, energy tips from the Fixbrigade, delicious cooking by Zoubida from Vrouw en Vaart, listening to the beautiful music of the Turkish Choir Istanbul, and the evening ended with dancing by DJ Yoeri! Everything

A day not to be forgotten!

We have enjoyed all the neighbors who came by to get inspired and get to know us and the neighborhood. Thanks to all parties involved in making this possible and who work daily to enrich, support, and inspire residents!
