Since July 1, 2021, the WBTR (Act on Management and Supervision of Legal Entities) applies to all associations and foundations. The law imposes obligations to ensure good governance. However, it is not a one-time obligation, but something that requires ongoing attention. That is why we now have the Board Checklist.
From January 1, 2023, as a volunteer, when you serve as a director, commissioner, or supervisor of a legal entity (foundation or association) in the municipality of Amsterdam, you are insured under the Amsterdam Volunteer Insurance (AVV).
We have signed the Manifest ‘Healthy aging is a joint effort’ by health economics professor Marcel Canoy and call on healthcare parties and administrators to engage in discussions with us and other volunteer organizations on how to achieve a fruitful and equal partnership.
