Denise (19 years old) has been a volunteer at Huttendorp every summer for five years. There, she guides a group of children in building huts and, together with the other volunteers, ensures a super fun week. “It’s a big, positive world there, this is really fantastic!”

At an event where visitors are assisted in finding work in Amsterdam, the Volunteer Center Amsterdam (VCA) is always happy to participate. The Foundation ‘Learning Helps!’ in collaboration with ‘Toptaal’ organized a job market on Thursday, May 23 at Garage Notweg in Nieuw West. We were there!
Loes works one morning a week as a hostess at The Traditional Costume Museum. There, she also regularly gives workshops on Staphorst Dot Painting and assists with the setup and dismantling of exhibitions.
The Volunteer Center Amsterdam (VCA) will be active again starting July 1st, working with the AZC residents in Nieuw West.
Els works monthly in nature, such as hanging birdhouses, pollarding willows, and planting lots of flowers along the ditch banks to increase biodiversity.
