Details
Sexual offences with multiple victims can cause considerable social unrest. At the request of the Sexual Offences Triangle (representing the Bureau of Sexual Offences Police, the Public Prosecution Service and the municipality), SSGA can convene a crisis team with various welfare organisations within 24 hours to organise assistance.
The institution, such as a school or association, is supported in informing all those involved and taking the necessary steps.
Sexual Offences Police
At the Bureau of Sexual Offences Police, detectives work who can advise you on what you can do in your specific situation. This generally takes place in a telephone consultation, which can be followed, if desired, by a personal intake interview or filing a report. The intake is an informative, non-binding interview in which it is also determined whether a criminal offence has been committed. In addition, the procedure following the filing of a report is explained. The report is formal and is put on paper and signed. The report marks the start of a criminal investigation.
