Seven times inspiration at the Volunteer Café Center
In addition to working, shopping, and going out, a lot of volunteering is also done in the Center. On September 29, we organized a Volunteer Café at Museum Ons’ Lieve Heer op Solder. This time, we introduced organizations and initiatives that also offer low-threshold and short-term volunteer work, for once, for a few weeks, or once a month. So that it also fits into busy schedules. But first, we enjoyed a bowl of delicious lentil soup from Oma’s Soep!
Couldn’t attend but curious about the possibilities? Below are the organizations present in a list + the link to their volunteer opportunities! There were seven volunteer organizations present that talked about the type of volunteer work you can do with them. In October, there are a few more.Volunteer cafes in other districtsHello.

Our Lord in the Attic
Museum Ons’ Lieve Heer op Solder is a historical site in the center of Amsterdam. In this merchant’s house, a hidden church was built in the attic in the seventeenth century, at a time when Catholic churches were not allowed. Now the museum tells the story of tolerance. As a volunteer, you can help with selling tickets, in the shop, with audio tours, and in the museum to ensure people behave and answer questions.
