Saturday, November 14, 2026: Volunteers – Thank You Day South

Thank You Day Volunteers South 2026. Again a very special party.

District South, in collaboration with the Volunteer Center Amsterdam, is once again organizing the special Thank You Day for all volunteers from South this year. The unique event traditionally takes place in the upper hall of the beautiful Concertgebouw. This year on Saturday, November 14, 2026.

The program includes a delicious lunch and a lecture by Meike Bartels, professor at VU in Amsterdam. She researches happiness and the role of genes and the environment in the experience of happiness. Meike is also known as the ‘Happiness Professor.’ We will conclude with a special performance by Cor Bakker and Sjors van der Panne.

It promises to be a delightful afternoon full of coziness, inspiration, and beautiful music.

The program looks like this:

12:30 PM                     Doors open to Small Hall.

12:30-1:15 PM            Arrival with lunch in the Foyers Small Hall

1:30 PM                     Start: Opening

1:35 PM                     Performance 1: Lecture by Happiness Professor Meike Bartels

2:05 PM                     Performance 2: Music by Cor Bakker and Sjors van de Panne

3:00 PM                     Closing & drinks
