Providing assistance to Ukrainians? Here’s what you can do

What is currently happening in Ukraine is terrible. People are offering their help massively to Ukrainians in need. Do you want to do something too? Here we are collecting the most important relief efforts in Amsterdam and online.

Donate money

The easiest way to support the Ukrainian population (there or here) is by making a financial contribution. The funds raised can provide people with life-saving emergency aid. The collaborating aid organizations have Giro555 open.
You can also donate separately, via the Red Cross, via United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), via Refugee Foundation, via Ukrainians in the Netherlands Foundation via Milkshake (LGBTQI) or via Boat Refugee Foundation.

Volunteer your time to help refugees from Ukraine

• Doctors of the World is looking for drivers for medical appointments& hostesses/gentlemen with driver tasks
• Refugee Work is ready in every asylum seekers’ center in the Netherlands with a team of employees and volunteers to support refugees during this difficult and emotional time. Can you help?
• Via the Red Cross: choice of various aid actions
• The Amsterdam foundation Open Embassy is building a network of people who can provide support to Ukrainians arriving in the Netherlands or already here and unable to return. They are looking for individuals who speak English well, can gather information effectively, and/or are proficient in Ukrainian. The network is used to assist Ukrainian refugees with housing, mental health, and practical and legal matters.
• The organization Fast Lane Ukraine is looking for IT specialist, a coordinator, and drivers
• Amsta nursing home in Zuidoost: Ukrainian-speaking volunteers wanted
• Do you speak Ukrainian or Russian? Help me as a buddy or in the shelter.

• The municipality brings supply and demand together. Do you have an offer of help (food, clothing, interpreters, items), send it here then.
