Flexible and accessible volunteer work

In September, VCA will launch a campaign to recruit new volunteers. The theme is ‘A small step for you, but together a giant leap for the city’. We want to convince people that every little bit truly helps: a message for a neighbor, a cup of coffee with an elderly person, an afternoon of crafting with children, an hour of litter picking, or a chat with a newcomer. It helps and contributes to a more beautiful city. The focus of the campaign is on flexible and accessible volunteering, because this can motivate people to get to know volunteering at your organization.

Flexible and accessible volunteering is the future. To fit volunteering into their busy lives, more and more people prefer not to commit to an activity for too long and want to decide when they can participate. What are we going to do?

• Social media campaign with videos, inspiring examples, and easy places to try out volunteering
• We organize volunteer cafes: people who are curious about volunteering can meet various social organizations here.
  • Volunteer Café Center – September 29 – 18.30-21.00
  • IJlandroute – October 1st – 11.00 – 13.00
  • Volunteer Café South – October 11 – 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm
  • Volunteer Café North – October 13 – 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Volunteer Café Nieuw West – October 19 – 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

How can you benefit from this campaign?

Post a job for short-term or low-threshold volunteer work. Think of one-time tasks, an activity that only takes one hour per week, tasks that you can schedule yourself, volunteer work to try out a few times to see if it suits you.
