Joop Stoel has been volunteering at the Dienstencentrum Landsmeer for eighteen years, several days a week. Being active makes him feel good.
Pam Kaaij is a consultant at WonenPlus in Landsmeer. There, forty volunteers help residents in the village to live independently for longer. They do chores, groceries, and provide transportation to the hospital.

Volunteering always seemed a bit dusty, boring, and dull to Eva (29). But in the past few months, she has done 1001 different tasks, and now she thinks: Why didn’t I make time for this earlier? “I even do volunteer work on vacation nowadays!”
