National Volunteer Awards, sign up and have a chance to win the prize pool

Every year, the NOV (the Dutch Organization of Volunteer Centers) organizes the Volunteer Awards for Organizations. There are generous amounts to be won. Since December 1, 2023, all volunteer organizations in the Netherlands can participate in the National Volunteer Awards 2024. The registration period runs until February 29, 2024.

Submit a vlog of up to 1 minute where you address the question: What makes your volunteer work so beautiful? It’s about sharing the passion and emotions that volunteering ignites.

That’s why on Friday, December 15th at 11 am, there will be a Q&A session with filmmaker Ramon Masius and Dante Pelk from DWH Delft, last year’s winner of the National Volunteer Award. And on Tuesday, December 19th from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, there will be an online workshop ‘recruiting volunteers with your vlog’. This will be repeated on Tuesday evening, January 23rd at the same time.

What can you win?

The first 15 quick vloggers will definitely win a cake! And the 35 entrants after that will receive the exciting JamCultures game.^*sent to your home. By sharing your story, as a volunteer organization, residents’ initiative, or sports club, you have a chance to win the grand prize of 15,000 euros! The second to sixth place will be rewarded with a prize of 2,000 euros. Additionally, a total of 80 organizations have a chance to win a prize of 750 euros.

As the cherry on top, the numbers one through six take center stage in a documentary. These passionate nominees share what drives them in their volunteer work. Host Bas Westerweel engages in conversation with them, while filmmaker Ramon Masius captures the essence of volunteering. This impassioned reportage plays a crucial role in determining the ultimate winner.

Categories

New this year is that you submit a vlog in one of the twelve categories. There is a wide range of categories for volunteer organizations to choose from. The categories include Sports, Care and Aid, Culture, look atwww.vrijwilligersprijzen.nlfor the remaining categories. Anyone can sign up for one category of their choice, without a minimum number of participants required per category. When signing up, let us know which category best suits your volunteer work, and we will make sure it fits!
