December 7th is National Volunteer Day

Did you know that more than 250,000 people in Amsterdam occasionally volunteer to help others or the city?Their work is very valuable and of great importance. That is why we want to thank as many people as possible for their efforts and to celebrate them around National Volunteer Day. We also encourage residents and community organizations to thank volunteers in their local area.

Show your appreciation and surprise someone with a nice card. We have nine variants. You can request these for free from us or send them directly via email. One of the nine thank you cards features a poem by writer, poet, and theater maker Joost Oomen, which he specially created for this day.
