Looking for a holiday full of volunteer adventures?
Ympact020 organizes a holiday week full of volunteer adventures for young people in Amsterdam, will you join?
During the last two weeks of the summer vacation, Ympact020, the youth volunteer network of Amsterdam, organizes two super fun holiday weeks. Exciting, challenging, and educational volunteer activities are planned so that you can make an impact together with other young people. From a cozy activity with the elderly, cooking for the homeless, to a neighborhood clean-up. There are many vulnerable people in Amsterdam who fall through the cracks with their requests for help. With the commitment of you and other young people, they want to help these vulnerable individuals. An additional benefit for you: you get to know Amsterdam in a different way, discover your own talents, and make a difference!
Ympact020 Holiday Weeks
Two weeks of fun activities are being organized. Start date is August 21. The week starts on Monday with an introduction, followed by training sessions, and practical and social activities. Gardening for the elderly in the East, cooking for the homeless, and picking up litter are just a few of the many projects that the young people will do together. You can sign up for one week or for two weeks, and the activities are free of charge. Two groups will be formed, one for young people aged 14-18 and another for those aged 19-25.
“Some young people cannot go on vacation because they don’t have the money for it, and neither do their parents,” saysAlice Hoolsema, coordinator of this holiday week. “This is a wonderful way to meet other fun young people and maybe even start to discover what you are good at. Young people thrive enormously when they volunteer for others. I have seen that with my own eyes multiple times”.

Ympact020 (www.ympact020.nlYmpact020 is the youth volunteer network of Amsterdam. Ympact020 connects enthusiastic young people with social organizations. We motivate young people, organizations, schools, and educational institutions to contribute to Amsterdam and its residents. During this week, young people get acquainted with the Social Service Time Trajectory (MDT). A trajectory in which a young person does 80 hours of volunteer work spread over 6 months. Based on their talents, interests, and availability, young people have the opportunity to discover what suits them best!
