Organizational Consultant (32 hours per week)

We are looking for a driven colleague who supports, advises, trains, and connects social organizations in Amsterdam.   • In Amsterdam Noord, you are the point of contact for volunteer organizations. You support and strengthen these organizations in various areas, such as recruiting, collaborating, and guiding volunteers, ensuring social safety, and implementing good volunteer policies.
  • 2: In your urban role, you contribute to strengthening volunteer organizations and preserving the value of voluntary efforts, both in formal and informal care. You are a strong sparring partner for organizations, policymakers, and collaboration partners.

What are you going to do exactly?

  • Advising and supporting: You provide advice and support to volunteer organizations, informal and formal care initiatives, the municipality, and partnerships.
  • Training in network development: You organize training sessions, workshops, and networking events focused on strengthening organizations, sharing knowledge, and promoting collaboration.
  • Policy and collaboration processesYou participate in discussion and policy tables, such as Informal Care Platforms, and other relevant collaborations. You ensure a strong positioning of VCA and promote partnerships.
  • Advocacy: You act as a lobbyist and representative of the volunteer sector, advocating for the interests of volunteer organizations with stakeholders.

What are you bringing?

  • Knowledge and experience:You have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in consultancy and with social organizations.
  • Strategic insight: You think in opportunities and know how to turn them into concrete actions and results.
  • Communication and networking: You have strong communication skills and are an excellent networker who easily connects with others.
  • VisionYou are familiar with the non-profit sector and have a clear vision on voluntary engagement, also in relation to issues arising from formal care.

What do we offer?

  • A challenging and independent position with plenty of room for development and creativity;
  • A salary in scale 9 (max € 5,574.00) for a 36-hour workweek according to the Social Work Collective Labor Agreement. The salary scale is based on education and experience.
