Insight into Tasks and Energy in Board Governance

A well-functioning board starts with a clear division of tasks. When each board member knows where their responsibilities lie, it creates structure, overview, and room for effective collaboration. In practice, however, many boards do not have a precise overview of who performs which tasks, how much time is spent on them, and where pressure points or bottlenecks exist.

With the task list tool, this becomes clear and visible. Boards can jointly – independently or with guidance from an advisor – map out all tasks and roles. This not only provides insight into everything that is being done, but also creates awareness of where everyone’s time and energy is going. This makes it clear who has (too) much on their plate, which tasks could be better distributed, and where processes can be improved.

The overview helps to better distribute responsibilities, but also to discover where energy is being lost. Tasks that take a lot of time but provide little satisfaction come to the surface. By discussing this together, a board can make conscious choices: what should stay, what can be done differently, and where are the real energy boosters?

Tailored Support

Do you notice that a lot of energy is being lost within the board or that the enjoyment has faded? Then schedule an in-depth session with an advisor. Together, we will map out what gives energy and what drains energy, and we will work on ways to restore the enjoyment and balance in board work.

You can schedule a free consultation or session with one of our advisors. They can guide the process, for example.

Would you prefer to get started on your own? That is also possible – you can find the tool here.
