️ Ribbon on your chest, appreciation in our hearts ️

This year, a number of remarkable Amsterdammers once again received a Royal distinction. 43 people who have often volunteered for years to serve the city, the neighborhood, or their fellow citizens. Initiative-takers, bridge-builders, silent forces—the glue that holds Amsterdam together.

The Amsterdam Volunteer Center is incredibly proud of these wonderful volunteers. But honestly, if it were up to us, the ribbon ceremony could have gone on for a little longer. Because let’s face it—all volunteers deserve a ribbon! Or at the very least, a big high five, applause, or a cake with candles.

Thank you to everyone who volunteers. Without you, there would be no vibrant neighborhoods, no warm care, no colorful city.
