If your organization works with and for minors, ensuring a safe environment is essential. After all, you want to create a setting where children and young people can grow and thrive.

Free Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG)

Do you work with minors and/or people with intellectual disabilities? Then you may be eligible for a free Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) for your volunteers.
Are you eligible? Read more about it here.

Training and advice on safety

Do you need advice to make your organization safer for children and young people? As an Amsterdam-based organization, you have come to the right place. We regularly offer trainings and workshops on this topic. Think of workshops on conducting an introductory meeting, where the topic of safety also plays a role. Or the workshop on giving feedback regarding transgressive behavior. For individual advice, contact Nettie Sterrenburg.

Suspicions?

If you have concrete suspicions that something is not right, please contact one of our advisors.
Or one of the other organizations in Amsterdam working in this field.

In Safe Hands

The website In Safe Hands (In Veilige Handen) was developed to help volunteer organizations with a step-by-step plan to make the prevention of sexual abuse a topic of discussion, and you will find a step-by-step plan for what to do if something does go wrong: a suspicion or a report of abuse.
