Project Leader Informal Care (36 hours per week)

Are you a connector pur sang with a heart for care and society? As Project Leader Informal Care, you connect people, organizations, and initiatives that make the city healthier and more social. You drive collaboration and innovation, advocate for interests, and inspire others within formal and informal care to work together towards a strong city.WithinAmsterdam Vital & Healthy (AV&G)Health and welfare organizations work together on strong regional cooperation. To give residents’ participation and informal care a prominent place, a targeted approach has been developed. Client Interest Amsterdam (CBA) and Urban Informal Care Amsterdam (SIZA) – where VCA is part of – take the lead in close coordination with the AV&G management team. As a project manager, you provide direction to this collaboration and represent the voice of informal care: from neighborhood initiatives to volunteer organizations.
What are you going to do?
- Setting up and designingof a new project for informal care within AV&G, together with involved partners.
- Representof informal care in all relevant coalitions of PH&C.
- Connectof neighborhood initiatives, volunteer organizations, and informal care organizations with formal care organizations.
- Inventoryof support needs of volunteer organizations, caregivers, and professionals.
- Stimulating knowledge sharingcollaboration between formal healthcare professionals and volunteers and informal caregivers.
- Ensuring a powerful voiceof informal care within the governance of PHC.
- Align and collaborateI met with SIZA and the project leader for resident participation in joint projects and external representation.

VCA is the expertise center for volunteering in Amsterdam. With a team of 23 professionals and 24 volunteers, we work on strengthening voluntary efforts in the city. We facilitate volunteers, advise organizations, and promote volunteering. As an independent partner for the municipality, social organizations, and local networks, we are known for our innovation and connecting role – always with a heart for the city and its residents.
