Photos: Sake RijpkemaBas Rozenboom (49) has been volunteering at BSO (After School Care) for five years, and for over half a year, he has also been working one day a week at the Dr. Sarphatihuis. There, he organizes a creative afternoon, focusing on painting and drawing. Bas does not have a paid job and relies on social welfare benefits. By volunteering, he wants to contribute meaningfully alongside his other activities. His work at the Dr. Sarphatihuis and the after school care allows him to interact with both old and young people, which he greatly appreciates.
