In the Human Library, visitors engage in conversations with ‘living books’, people who belong to a group that faces strong prejudices. For example, a transgender person or a refugee. But also a dairy farmer or a monk. This always leads to special conversations. The meetings take place at a school or a festival, in a library, and sometimes even in a church. As an employee of the Human Library, you prepare the meetings, help find suitable living books, make sure the t-shirts are washed, ensure that other items are in the right place on time, and assist visitors.

We also always need someone who loves photography or knows how to promote an event.

As an employee, you will visit special places and meet extraordinary people.Photos: Marcel Jansen / VCA Media
