Volunteer Café in East for Newcomers

VCA and Dynamo recently organized an interesting meeting for newcomers. On Friday, September 15, Café Genieten at Oranje Vrijstaatplein was transformed into a Volunteer Café for newcomers. Ten volunteer organizations explained in 3 minutes what you can do with them as a volunteer. In between, Faten shared what volunteering has brought her, and Reza spontaneously took the stage to showcase his soccer skills.

The plenary program ended with music by Ismaël on his Oud, a Syrian string instrument. During the drinks, with delicious Egyptian snacks from Nagla, visitors and organizations could get to know each other and connect further. The Volunteer Center (VCA) has been facilitating Amsterdam newcomers in volunteering for years, and Dynamo has been active in East for years helping newcomers to develop and participate.
