The Vrijwilligerscentrale Amsterdam (VCA) is a city-wide organization that assists individuals in finding volunteer work, supports and advises voluntary organizations and promotes volunteer work in Amsterdam.
For volunteers
The job database
Volunteers can choose from more than a thousand different volunteering opportunities in our database. Found something that suits you? Then you can register online and apply directly to most of the volunteering opportunities.
You can also create your own profile on our website to which organizations can respond.
Personal mediation
You can make an appointment with an English-speaking mediator. Together we will help you find a suitable and fun volunteering opportunity. The VCA has four locations: in the city centre (Centrum), in Noord, in Zuidoost and Slotervaart.
Jobs for English / Non-Dutch speakers
We have limited opportunities for English speakers or for people with only basic Dutch-language skills. You can conduct a search for 'Anderstaligen' in the database.
Nonetheless, we will always do our very best to find you a suitable volunteer job.

For organizations
We support organizations that work with volunteers in their quest to find volunteers. We also provide assistance in formulating (voluntary) work practice policy, acquiring funds and applying for subsidies. We also offer support to startup organizations. Organizations can select volunteers via our job database. Every year we find volunteer work for more than 3000 volunteers.
English language organizations
Is English spoken in your organization? You can advertise in English on our website. You can also place the advert both in English and Dutch. Should you need any help making an account or placing an advert on our website, please contact us.
What does a subscription / advert placement cost?
Less than 3 paid employees: €34 per year
3-10 paid employees: €46 per year
11-25 paid employees: €60 per year
26-50 paid employees: €74 per year
51-100 paid employees: €86 per year
101-150 paid employees: €98 per year
151-200 paid employees: €110 per year
201-300 paid employees: €145 per year
301-400 paid employees: €175 per year
More than 400 employees €200 per year
